This was a tattoo commission. The client wanted an intricate design that wrapped from his shoulder to just below the elbow, made up of Maori style designs. He asked for a lot of negative space, sent me symbols that meant a lot to him, and said to let my mind do the rest. He wanted the top to have a claw-like visual, blending into a more symmetrical look as it went down, with circular shapes as well. The design took me a considerable amount of time, but it is one of the most detailed designs I've ever done and I thoroughly enjoyed drawing it.
